I gave up work at 22 to have my daughter Ruby and then my son Archibald 2 years later. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, I think we can all agree that lockdown brought a great deal of meaningful quality time with family. During the lockdown of 2020 Ruby and I developed a curiosity for crystals and the healing benefits we had been reading about. Building this connection with crystals together, enabled greater balance to our life and minds, at a time when we were all vulnerable to feelings of anxiety. The impact of crystals on mental wellbeing, tranquillity and focus were absolutely clear and helped our family with sleep, studying and mental wellbeing.
Then, in 2021 as the kids were 10 and 12 and getting older I decided I needed to do something for myself whilst staying true to my passions. I couldn't find any luxury crystal jewellery and identified a gap in the market due to crystals being attached to string or leather only. My brand idea was born! The mission to launch Luna Sage was driven by a desire to source and provide luxury crystal jewellery for women like us. Luna Sage perfectly bridges the gap between high street and high end, offering a wide selection of affordable handmade designs without the designer price tags, while using high quality crystals with all the benefits they bring us.
Luna Sage guides us to affirm, manifest and vision our way to positivity. Its brand identity centres around healing and feminine energy: Luna, the Roman mythology divine personification of the Moon; Sage, meaning profound wisdom. In keeping with the mythological inspiration, each of our pieces is fit for a Goddess! With sterling silver carefully sourced from a family owned manufacturer in Jaipur, it was a priority for us to confirm the sustainable and ethical practices of each of our suppliers. Our handmade pieces are made from 100% recycled Sterling Silver, 18ct gold vermeil and plated gemstone jewellery, coated in anti tarnish technology. Each of our pieces undertakes a journey, from the research and design from our base in Essex, to the global artisans who we source the finest materials and stones from and back to Essex where I package each order with care. You won’t find anything I make anywhere else and I want you to wear our pieces for years, even decades to come.
The growing crystal craze can often be misunderstood, or mistaken for a ‘hippy or ‘woo-woo’ niche. But this just isn’t true, and Luna Sage is here to prove just that! Possession of crystal accessories and participation in using them for self-care or the release of positive energies can be as mainstream as other self-care practices such as pilates and meditation. The difference with Luna Sage is that you look great too! This is where my commitment to luxury jewellery comes in; Luna Sage is high-end, but affordable. As Luna Sage steadily grew, I was energised to match this growth with the development of manifestation tools for our fabulous community of customers. The launch of our sell out Mindful Moments affirmation cards - to guide you from moment to moment in what can otherwise be a chaotic world - was an overwhelming success. We have been manifesting for the last 14 years and I am open about the positive impact of this on our lifestyle. Luna Sage is fast becoming the wellness accessory brand of choice for the woman committed to manifesting a positive lifestyle and cherishing herself in lots of simple ways, each day.
